Brian Bourassa RST pulls out all stops on this intriguing tribute to the mythical mountains in Ireland. A calm and gentle journey with mesmerizing melodies holds you spellbound by the mythological Celtic princess who was famed for being, of all things... cruel.

But there's nothing cruel here, save the hypnotic hold the music has on the listener.

Slieve Mish, also known as Slemish, holds a special significance to many, and also to me. This long-form ambient work honors Slieve Mish and the beauty and mystery of the place so close to where I grew up - beckoning in the distance across the fields.

The notion of the music is one continuous and delimited soundscape - like the resonance of a location, environment or sonic ecology. The work is intended for fairly low playback and continuous play.

While the texture may seem rather static - from the surface of some of the materials of the work - it is actually constantly renewing.

Sounds were created using software synthesizers and resonance filtering. Recorded in February of 2016 and re-mixed and mastered in March of 2016..

This is a new mix and mastering of the project. The changes are subtle ones but important.

It might be noted that there are also a number of tracks in commercial release that are not here at Bandcamp or at the Soundcloud site. Likewise, the Soundcloud site has materials that are on various compilations by various labels and also a bit of miscellany.

Thank you for supporting my efforts - this means a lot to me. I hope you will enjoy this sonic journey.

Several new releases are in the works for 2017-18. A very creative time.
