about

AUDIO UPDATED: July, 2018

Originally released in 1995, this recording has been re-mastered in 2018. The CD version contains the continuous version of the work Wind in Trees. This is broken-up here at Bandcamp due to length restrictions.

The works on the recording were created in the analog domain. However, the synthesis work was created between 1986 and 1989 at the Computer Audio Research Laboratory of the Center for Music Experiment at UCSD. The acoustic compiler, cmusic, created by F. Richard Moore, was chiefly used for the sound synthesis and processing.

Included is the work Wind in Trees - Homage to Joji Yuasa. Yuasa is one of my main mentors and a well-known master of avant-garde music. It is important to note, perhaps, that this version of the work is different from the REMIX that is also available here at Bandcamp. The remix is simply put - a different mix and has some subtle and not so subtle differences from the original version presented here.
